Brake lights operative when using active cruise control

According to the hand book the brake lights come on with auto breaking when using adaptive cruise control.
Is this the case, I understand that they also come on when using B in driving mode.

Correct, when in B mode take your foot off and the brake lights come on. Select the screen and with the car in the middle and you will see the lights.
