I filled up today and the display said 600 miles, less than a mile later it was showing 585, then 560 then after about 8 miles it was back up to 590. What on earth is going on?
My last 5 cars, 3 Renaults and 3 Fords have all displayed what you describe. The computer is constantly updating so there is nothing you do. It's a rough guide only.
My Symbioz displays an 'analog' fuel gauge which I believe is a reasonably true reading of the fuel tank level. The number shown to the immediate right of the 'analog' display is a range estimate based on your fuel consumption used for journeys since your last reset.
