I had my Symbioz a few days now and I really like it. However the manuals i've seen aren’t that helpful.

Ive set the perso mode to what I think id like (engine eco, steering heavy and dynamic to sporty) but there isn’t really any guide as to what each setting actually does. What does 'Dynamics' do? It doesnt seem to do much compared to the other settings options.

Other Renault models have Perso, look for other manuals and also Renault forums.
Also try YouTube videos.

Its all rather confusing. 'Perso' in my car turns off the speed limiter, but despite setting all the settings to Eco it has obviously different behaviour to the actual Eco mode including worse economy (not related to me speeding either!).

EDIT: I get it now, the 'my safety Perso' is different from Perso mode. I think it would have been better for it all to be block of settings thats activated together, but nevermind..

I use comfort mode all the time and get good mpg, around mid fifties, and the car is very responsive. I have tried all the other modes and always come back to comfort mode.

I use to the Perso (custom setup) mode but that requires to be selected every time you have to switch on the ignition. A few button presses to be fair but like @ Rizmo, i just start off now with the automatically selected comfort setting. @ ChrisM560 I cant imagine the Dynamic does much as the car doesn’t have adaptive suspension so the "Dynamics" would probably be the same. Maybe other countries have different chassis setup so could impact more.

From what I gather 'dynamics' is just a variety of assistance things, like traction control. Its not really big deal on a car like this really.

Im experimenting with the modes but they seem hardly any different, even Eco seems to use the engine rather more than seems necessary.

It would be interesting to know what "Perso" Mode settings everyone is going with.
I personally have the following:
"Perso" Driving - Engine:Eco, Steering effort:Medium, Vehicle Dynamics:Comfort
"Perso" Life on Board - Ambient lighting:Changing, Light Intensity:100%, Climate:Eco

Also does anyone use the Security Profile? ie use a Pin to locked their Car profile

Perso mode, tried to emulate Sport but.. can we assume there is an MPG hit with true sport?

Security - I did do this but now wondering if it was worth (the hassle of putting the PIN in)

Has anyone had luck in making a specific profile (other than Comfort) come on with each start?

Yes I thought the same, hassle putting a pin in each time you open the car.

I've only done 100 mile so far since owning the car, but with my settings I'm getting 53mpg, and that's just short journeys & town driving.

Hi, it does take a while to stabilise.

Does best on a long journey,
I did one earlier this year, and the estimated range was a couple of miles longer (than when I set off) near the end of my journey of about 115 miles :D
