Week 2 of ownership, generally happy and I have a couple questions -
1. The rear view mirror mount where the courtesy lights are makes a rattling noise which is noticeable most of the time especially as I prefer not to have any music going or the windows down when I drive. If I press the plastic near the passenger courtesy light it stops. Anyone else have this issue? Do you think its over the top to get the garage to fix it and is it something I should pay for?
2. Active Cruise Assist - I do love this feature especially as you can just press the button to get it to match the current speed limit. I've seen a video on YouTube where you can press it so it automatically changes speed according to the roadsign speed without having to manually press the button again. Anyone managed to get this to work, if so can you explain what to do?
3. Lastly, I'm connected via Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooh to my phone, however everytime I get in the car I have to either open the settings screen on my iPhone and go to settings/personal hotspot and the car might connect after a few secs or I have to turn personal hotspot off and on again for it to connect. Anyone else having the same issue?
Cheers
Rattling noise and a couple of questions
No 1-try and record the noise and present it to the dealer. Could be some loose trim rattling around. Try tapping the mirror trim when stationary.PrivSter wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 6:22 am Week 2 of ownership, generally happy and I have a couple questions -

Yup, ive already worked out how to stop it and all I need to do is push, not hard, on the left hand side of the passenger courtesy light switch. I tried looking myself to see how the cover comes off but can't see anything hence me wanting to get them to do it. As it new it should not be making a rattling noises in my opinion. The state of UK roads now makes it noticeable for most of the trips I do.
If you have an iPhone you can create an automation/shortcut on your iPhone, that will connect your personal hotspot up when it detects the cars CarPlay and disconnect when you turn off. We use it on both our Megane EV and facelift Captur and it works well, connecting automatically most of the time.
Agreed, the active cruise control is one of the best features on the car for motorways and dual carriageways. As far as automatically changing speed depending on the speed limit goes, that is not available in the UK. It can be a dangerous feature as the camera that detects the speed limit can get things wrong. For instance, there is a dual carriageway I use that has a 70 mph limit. There is a slip road that has a 30 mph limit, which the camera picks up. If the cruise control automatically changed with the "perceived" speed limit, the car would suddenly slow down to 30 mph, not something I want to happen!PrivSter wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 6:22 am Week 2 of ownership, generally happy and I have a couple questions -

Fair shout, seems the UK spec is missing a few items, thanks for that...theumpire wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 1:29 pmAgreed, the active cruise control is one of the best features on the car for motorways and dual carriageways.
