OpenR link update
We had our OTA openR link 3.2.0 update on our UK facelift Captur (with Android Automotive 12) a couple of days ago. First OTA update since we took delivery. Took about an hour to download it and install it. Then it asks you to lock the car up and leave it, where it then finishes.
Our OTA update was sourced by checking for updates - details to follow when we nip out to the car.
Had to add previous UK radio favourites back in again as some icons had disappeared (it does warn you, you may need to do this). No noticeable differences other than there appears to be a lot more up to date radio logo icons now showing, but to be fair all the DAB ones were good before.
I'll post the instructions for checking for updates shortly. They do appear automatically and are batch released by VIN, so you may just get in the car and it'll pop up and let you know there is an update to be downloaded/installed.
As we also have a Megane EV (with Android Automotive 10), we know that the release of OTA updates is utterly random (Renault themselves aren't sure either it seems) - sometimes taking months or over a year to appear for some. We required Renault Multimedia Whatsapp support intervention with Renault technical France to kick start our Megane to pickup its updates.

I think you’re looking at the android auto app. In the Play store.
Android automotive is different from android auto
.
Android auto is the ability to mirror your Android smartphone through the car and to channel music, navigation from your phone to the cars touchscreen and audio system. Apple CarPlay is used for those with an Apple smartphone.

Android 12 is used now on most of the newer produced Renaults (whereas Android 10 is used on models such as the early megane EV’s and Australs). The Renault Clio remains on the old non Android Easylink system. This has got to change soon as Easylink is really showing it’s age, compared to the openR link system.
To check for any OTA (over the air) software updates from Renault on its newer vehicles (like the Symbioz):
Swipe down from the main centre touch screen
Tap the cog (top right)
Swipe up to find Update & assistant
Choose Vehicle update
Choose Check for update
Assuming your car is communicating correctly to the Renault servers it will quickly check if there are any updates which will be downloaded over the air, using the included data that comes with the car.
Quite often before you get a chance to check for updates, the car will tell you via a pop up on the screen that an update is due. You can then choose whether you download and install it or not.
The updates are batch released for VIN number ranges, so you may find there aren’t any for your car. Just a waiting game really.
Play store application updates are checked for differently through the play store, but similarly use the included data package to update apps individually, unless you’ve set them to update automatically.

3.2.0 update arrived today for my Symbioz. It went through it without any issues. Nothing new in terms of features (apart from a car widget which put 3 shortcuts on the main display - electric settings, driving score and camera, but I'm not sure if that was there before) as we're already on AAOS12. For the moment it seems that the heated steering wheel button issue is fixed and my camera didn't crash today (yet), but I'll give it some time before jumping from joy.
