I have the Iconic Esprit Alpine and am unfamiliar with hybrids or automatic transmission vehicles in general. I've only had the car since Jan 30th and, in the short time I have driven, the mph has been nowhere near the suggested levels - albeit mainly stop/start commuting in traffic. My bigger concern, which obviously may be connected with the above, is how fast the engine seems to be revving especially whilst idling. I have only been aware of this in the last week or so but it's even the case whilst in eco mode. Any suggestions or should I be heading back to a dealer? Thanks in advance.

i am curenly geting 46,9 mpg , according to dash , but if one opens eco report one can see recored mpg for the last trip , and milage coverd, this can varie from 12 mpg to 58,9 mpg or more depending on use and time , no wonder estimated fule / distance can change
Hello all, getting delivery of my Iconic today, hopefully it's trouble free. I just wanted to know what fuel people are using just to see if there is any correlation to MPG. Obviously driving style ambient temperature and road gradients as well as the influence of the hybrid system will have a bigger influence.
I use E10 fuel which is recommended. Best to order a full manual on eBay. Tells you everything you need to know. Almost every new car will not be trouble free. There's so much electronics these days there's always something no matter how trivial. Give it time and you will enjoy the car. There is a bit of a technique to learn how the auto box works. The lack of a rev counter doesn't help.
