I had intended to hard wire my dashcam by piggy-backing onto an "acc" circuit in the fuse box. My favourite for this was the circuit for the auxiliary power sockets. However, on our RH drive cars, this fuse isn't easily accessible as the access hole for the fuses is smaller than the fuseboard. I don't really want to remove the glove box to reach it for fear of breaking something. What have other people done? I suppose one alternative would be to get a long USB cable and plug that under the dash assuming they aren't live all the time.

Try and check out some YouTube videos. The Renault Captur is very similar.
