Here's something for you to try. Turn on the limiter to it's lowest speed and drive in B mode. Experience is similar to driving with your handbrake on! No matter how hard you press the pedal the car barely moves and as soon as you lift your foot it just stops:) one thing to have in mind - braking force on B is substantial amd we don't have an option to set the regen mode as Asutral does. So if you're driving in B and see the car in front of you slowing down suddenly don't jump on the brakes, there's real danger that the car behind you will hit you. Happened to me a few times in the past days...

Yeah I just use b mode in town really, otherwise lifting off for a bend on an a road for example slows you too quickly. It’s just designed for town driving really.

I had a similar issue when the car went into limp mode, or so I thought. The car braked itself to almost a stop. Switched off engine then restarted and everything ok. If you accidentally touch one of the lower buttons on the left side of the steering wheel this is what happens. It's something to do with the adaptive cruise control. Hope you get it sorted by the dealer and come back here with the result. Good luck.

The car senses something and thought it's an emergency. I've had this happening twice with my previous Kadjar, not yet with the Symbioz, but you should always be prepared to get this. Not only Renaults do this, I've read tons of posts for different cars doing the same, usually around bridges, tunnels etc. it's just a glitch in the safety system, dangerous one, but nothing could be done. With cars getting "smarter" and more "self-aware" such things are inevitable.

As Rizmo says the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel do speed limiter and cruise control and are hyper sensitive. I managed to accidentally set the speed limiter on below 10mph when turning the wheel, quite a shock but easy to hit the button again to cancel. It would give a sensation similar to braking error.
