If your problem happens again try and record a video. This could help your dealer pinpoint the issue. I have done this a few times in the past. Hope you get the car sorted out soon. Good luck.

Hi all, had the car now coming up to 2 weeks. My issue is the over revving of the engine. It's like it needs to change up a gear.
I've had an experience of high revving stood at traffic lights. This had the effect of reducing my average mph dramatically. It moved from 53mpg to 44mpg in a matter of seconds. The only way i managed to stop the high revving was to move the gears from D to B and back to D.
This lack of the electric motor selecting the correct gear surely cant be a factory setting?
I also assume I have the latest software update as the car was delivered to me late May'25.

No its normal. The engine is basically acting as a generator in this situation, charging the EV battery. It takes some getting used to. You dont have much control of the engine RPM or gear. Using the E-save button can force the engine more, and there is a difference between D and B to some extent, as well as the driving mode (eco, comfort, sport).

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if that's why we have no rev counter!
I always use comfort mode as this seems to be the general consensus.
