The highly anticipated Renault Symbioz is set to debut worldwide on Thursday, May 2nd. This latest addition to Renault's C-segment lineup will feature a hybrid powertrain from its initial release, filling the space between the updated Captur compact SUV and the mid-size Austral.

Named after the ancient Greek word 'symbiosis', meaning 'living together', the Symbioz embodies Renault's ethos of 'voitures à vivre', or 'cars for living'. This philosophy, tracing back to the iconic Renault 16 of 1965, emphasizes family-focused design principles.

While only a few teaser images of the Symbioz have been revealed, it's positioned between the Captur and Austral SUVs in Renault's petrol and hybrid lineup. This introduction signals a likely end for the Arkana model, which won't see a successor upon its production cessation.

With a length of 4.41 meters, the Symbioz is just 15mm shorter than the popular Qashqai and nearly equivalent to the Kia Niro. The teaser image hints at a design borrowing elements from the refreshed Captur and electric Renault Scenic, featuring sharp vertical LED strakes, slim headlights, and an angular front end.
