Let's have this general topic to try to gather all imperfections we've discovered in the Symbioz so far. Some of them might not be bugs, but features which work in a different way than in other Renault models - like for example the Auto lights switch. Here's mine so far:

Rear Wiper:
If the rear wiper is left in the ON position and the wipers are set to Auto mode, the rear wiper will activate automatically after restarting the car, regardless of whether it is raining. This behavior can lead to potential damage if the wiper's movement is obstructed, for example, by accumulated snow. The rear wiper should not restart automatically under such conditions.

Device Manager:
When an Android phone with an active WiFi hotspot connects to OpenR Link, the system automatically switches to Android Auto, even if Android Auto has not been enabled for that specific phone in the Device Manager.

Pedestrian Warning:
The pedestrian warning sound while reversing is not functioning. No external sound is emitted, regardless of the selected sound option in the menu.

Automatic Boot:
Opening the boot from inside the car is inconsistent. Pressing the button once often does not work, and the boot remains closed. In some cases, a double press or press-and-hold action is required to initiate the opening.

Instrument panel:
Maps view on the instrument panel sometimes gets stuck - the map appears blurred with a loading circle in the middle. Maps view loads ok after locking the car and leaving it locked for about 5 mins.

Rear camera:
Rear camera sometimes freezes. This is especially important to be fixed as there's a potential risk of hitting something while going backwards. In order to unfreeze it you just need to switch from R to D and back to R.

I reckon there's a software update due. In two weeks I'm at the dealers for a diagnostic check and hopefully a software update. I'll report back.

Rear interior courtesy lights :
For model with solarbay sunroof they can only be turned on and off manually by the physical switches on the lights. They are not controlled when the doors are opened and the auto setting is enabled.

Auto main beam:
Unable to deactivate by pulling or pushing the stalk as per the user manual. Can only be disabled by completely disabling all auto lights functionality.

The app is still not working for me- escalated to the software team at Renault

Not exactly a fault, but the front/rear camera is abysmal- if enough complain they might give us an option to get them replaced- surely not expensive.

I’ve had the map on central display go completely blank and stay that way overnight. It might have been a software update? The day after I noticed it became aligned with whichever mapping tool I was using on the bigger panel.

For software updates it appears Renault do not issue change logs. Most if not all manufacturers decline to provide information. It would be nice to know what changes have been made. I'm not sure the dealers have this info. That's another question I'll be asking.

Dealers doesn't get that kind of information. They had to do an update of my car before handing it to me and the guy at the dealership showed me their software - they just receive a message about the update, but absolutely no details what's in it, what kind of issues it's fixing etc.

Few new bugs from today and an update on the rear camera behaviour:

Welcome sound: This morning instead of the welcome sound I was greeted by static noise. It went away when the music started.

Usb drive disappearing: I'm used to listed to music out of a usb drive. For this car I bought a 64gb usb-c drive. Sometimes after starting the car the drive is not ready properly - it's mounted by the media doesn't see the music on it. After reconnecting the drive all works fine, but it's annoying.

Issue with sound: Today after switching from the above mentioned usb to Spotify a repeating error sound started looping over the music. Ot sounded like a loud buzz of repeated sound and didn't go away after switching back to the usb drive as a music source. I had to reboot the tablet to get rid of it.

Rear camera crashing - update: I noticed that you can actually replicate the rear camera crashing bug. Start the car and immediately switch to R. Camera starts, but the image freezes. Looks like the tablet needs some time to fully wake up and turning the camera immediately goes wrong. Good thing is that switching to D and back to R fixes it, but it's not something that has to happen and should be an easy fix.

I've also got a few bugs:

USB Volume sticks when listening to music and using Android Auto navigation. None of the volume adjustment buttons work until the car is restarted.

Instrument Cluster Map - randomly disappears when using Android Auto navigation.

Car Alarm - Twice we have activated the car alarm accidentally (Opening the door too soon after the car unlocks I think) and we can silence the alarm but can't stop the hazards from flashing until we re-lock the car and re-open it. (unless this is a 'feature I am unaware of...)

Blind Spot Indicator I know this has been mentioned on this forum. On a recent trip away I was trying to work out why it doesn't always spot an object in the blind spot. Seemed a bit random, it would pick up a lorry then a car, then not pick anything up for a while. I tried to work out if there were a consecutive number of detections or a set time between successes and failures. Then I got bored......

It's a shame, otherwise the car is great. Averaged just under 60 MPG on a thousand(ish) mile holiday trip from the midlands to Northumberland.
