Renault have issued the following on their UK Facebook page:
Restoring Google Maps connection
We have received numerous reports indicating a malfunction in Google Maps. We have worked closely with Google to address this issue, and we are pleased to inform you that the situation has been rectified. A new update has been deployed, which will allow you to restore Google Maps connection. If you have not yet received this update, please follow the steps below to update Google Maps to the latest version:
On your multimedia screen, open the embedded Google Maps application.
Go to "Settings".
Select "About/Help".
Click on "Version XX.XX.XXXXXX".
Choose "Update".
Once the update is completed, the connection with Google Maps should be restored. If this is not the case, please ensure that you have the following version of Google Maps: VERSION 24.11.110002.E.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Google Maps update
Mine got updated on 6th of Dec, having in mind that I'm not in UK. Since then I had a black screen once and maps working in offline mode also once. I'm not complaining, it is what it is, but somehow when you read, that the update fixes the connectivity issues you expect this to happen.
This post is a bit messed up. The pic shows a later version than the Renault release.
