My Renault App

The my Renault app updated on my Android phone today and now refuses to connect to the car in that it throws a wobbly when in the "Vehicle" section of the app.

It either throws the following error message or reverts back to the Log In screen, despite being logged in successfully as my details appear in the "Account" section which, if I click on quickly before the message appears, does not crash the app.

"An error has occurred. Please try again.... Try again to restart the app if the problem persists"

I've obviously tried deleting and reinstalling the app with now joy.

I've also tried factory resetting the car to remove the My Renault account which is the only suggestion I've been able to find online.

The Orange cell connection in the car must be functioning as I was able to log back into the My Renault and Google accounts when setting it up again.

Anyone else seeing this?

Same for me and has been since the app update which was I think last Thursday. Done all the same stuff you have without success. I'm at the dealers this week so will seek help there.

Thanks for confirming. Reviews are starting to come through on the Play Store saying the same thing. Looks like they have screwed something up!

I've reverted back to version 5.10.5 from 6.0.4 and the app is now working as before. The older apks can be found online. I downloaded it from APK Pure and used their XAPK installer app to install it. Its full of ads but I only intend using it once.

Interestingly the app has all of the details of my Service Plan, unlike the Renault website which still has a lot of information missing. They don't even have the e guide for the Symbioz on the website yet!

Visited my dealer today and they are fully aware of the app fiasco. It's going to take some fixing apparently. I messaged Renault UK yesterday via WhatsApp. They haven't got round to reading it so far.

Update: I called Renault Customer Service on the 18th October I did not receive a reply to my email from the week before. They then emailed me asking for a multitude of screen shots and mobile phone info. I submitted everything they asked early last week. Nothing from them so far.

I spoke to Renault customer services on Monday last week and raised a complaint. Not heard since

I'm still using the old version of the app and it's working perfectly. No connection or log in issues at all. The play store is now rife with reviews the update in early October has broken the app, yet the devs respond with the same old trope to contact customer services which is a waste of time.
