Hi, I have ordered a Symbioz and although the dealership has the car, they tell me they can't hand let me have it as Renault have put all Symbioz on Quality Hold, the dealer does not know what the issue is and say that they are waiting on updates from Renault, this has been ongoing for 4 days with no movement or update on what the issue is. Has anyone heard or know of any issues with maybe software or technical issues with the Symbioz?
I've had my Iconic for 4 weeks and no big issues so far. However I am suspicious of the software regarding the My Renault app which doesn't connect to the car. Surely it's a bigger problem than that. Who knows, there's so much electronics involved it could be anything.

Also due to expect mine within the next week.
One the one hand, if they are fixing issues such as those raised by forum members (interior light, beam assist, app connectivity) I’d much rather wait another week and receive the car than sign for it and have to drop it at the dealer in the near future.
Alternatively, I wonder if the Honda finance fiasco has spread to other manufacturers:

This is intriguing, I will contact my dealer today. The Symbioz is basically a stretched Captur and on their main forum there is no mention of any cars on hold. As there are not so many UK Symbioz owners maybe a recall is on the cards. I will endeavour to find out.

All, I got a hold of Renault customer relations, very helpful, initially they hadn't heard of this issue from a customer, so they did some digging, called me back and said is was a software update issue, a number of cars still at the import center had been recalled or put on hold for this issue, seems some cars were shipped to dealerships prior to the hold being put in place. Unfortunately, Renault have no date on when the update will happen, I think they only issue one update code per car and it doesn't always work first time, so i could be one of the unlucky ones, will see what happens next few days.
It's probably something to do with the cars safety features. Renault will not take the chance on any comebacks. Keep on it and good luck. I emailed my dealer today, no reply so far.Busymanjohn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:56 pm All, I got a hold of Renault customer relations, very helpful, initially they hadn't heard of this issue from a customer, so they did some digging, called me back and said is was a software update issue, a number of cars still at the import center had been recalled or put on hold for this issue, seems some cars were shipped to dealerships prior to the hold being put in place.
